I had so much fun doing the texture in this painting. I love the darkening skies with the sun going down at Ruby Beach. The reflections in the pools are visible as the wind is down at just this moment. Winter is coming.

Statement: I never really knew what I wanted to do when I grew up until I painted for the first time at a sip-n-paint around the age of 50, and I haven't stopped since! I'm enjoying the journey as I go from painting realism and impressionism, to abstract all in watercolor, acrylic and mixed media. I'm inspired by the beauty reflected in all of God's creation, such as the crazy love I see in my little dog's eyes, my husband's joyful smile, the unique orchids he grows, and rusty weathered objects just to name a few.
