I never really knew what I wanted to do when I grew up until I painted for the first time at a sip-n-paint around the age of 50, and I haven't stopped since! I'm enjoying the journey as I go from painting realism and impressionism, to abstract all in watercolor, acrylic and  mixed media. I'm inspired by the beauty reflected in all of God's creation, such as the crazy love I see in my little dog's eyes, my husband's joyful smile, the unique orchids he grows, and rusty weathered objects just to name a few. As I lose myself in the Spirit, the feeling of pigment and water moving across a surface with the brush in my hand, I desire to create with the saturated colors, shapes, and textures, a space for the viewer to find hope in todays chaotic world.
