My husband Roy and I work together to complete the creative process. I do the paintings and he lovingly frames each one with a professional standard.

I see beauty in all of God's creation. The crazy love I see in my little dog, Coco's eyes, Roy's joyful smile, and the unique orchids he grows. I also see beauty in things others may not see as beautiful, such as rusty and weathered objects. One of my favorite things to do is paint while having a cup of coffee with Roy on the deck while watching Coco with the birds and squirrels. I also enjoy spending time outdoors among people, to find the perfect inspiration that evokes emotion or radiates beauty. I love the Lord and believe He has given me divine inspiration for several paintings and poems.

Lisa DeBaets, an Indiana Hoosier, has always been in the creative arts. She is a lifelong learner and has studied under many accomplished and international artists. Her current creative pursuits are with watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. Ongoing since the summer of 2016, Lisa organizes the Urban Sketching group, 'Sketchers R Us', encouraging the members via newsletter, social media, and by example to 'create' daily any way they can. In 2019 they created Christmas Cards for the Troops. Lisa is an official member of the  Northwest Watercolor Society, Evergreen Association of Fine Arts, Woodinville Arts Alliance, and Northwest Collage Society. Lisa follows in the footsteps of her favorite watercolor instructor and mentor, Ann Breckon, who has researched watercolor pigments extensively and the colors of her palette have been selected to include only those tested at the top lightfastness rating (good for 200 years). To protect the integrity and life of the paintings, the watercolor paper and all papers used in framing are totally archival.
